From Farming to Pharma for Patients.

A complete and innovative supply chain for the development of the medical use of cannabinoids.

“Enecta works for the development of extracts and therapeutic solutions based on phytocannabinoids, starting from selected plants cultivated according to the highest quality standards.

The potential of the cannabis plant has led Enecta to create GreenValley, an agricultural company committed to bringing innovation into agricultural techniques and to developing the entire range of cannabis’ industrial perspectives.

The therapeutic scopes of cannabinoids are still largely to be explored.
This is why Enecta supports the commitment of researchers.”

Towards the future of Cannabis

Research into the potential of cannabis opens up an ever-richer range of applications.

A phyto-complex that has hundreds of components, which need to be studied separately, exploring the therapeutic perspectives of each individual active ingredient, and as a whole (entourage effect), to assess the interactions that can lead to synergies or antagonism, also in relation to administration in support of other pharmacological practices.

At global level, modern health services are increasingly embracing cannabinoid-based therapies. However, a great deal of effort is still needed to further investigate each line of  research, conduct clinical trials, gather evidence and ensure more and more patients access to appropriate care. This is why it is essential to constantly devote to the production of homogeneous and standardized varieties of inflorescences, and to the identification and development of specific extraction techniques for each cannabinoid.

Green Valley is Enecta’s official partner farm in the cultivation of Cannabis for the extraction of CBD and other non-psychotropic active ingredients. Founded in 2017, Green Valley has invested in the cultivation of over 30 hectares of land by engaging fields between Abruzzo and Veneto with  three different varieties of industrial hemp Futura 75, Santhica 27 and Finola.

It conducts a research project on the optimization of agronomic techniques for the cultivation of Cannabis sativa L. together with CREACI, the Research Center for Cereal Agriculture and Industrial Crops of the Council for research in agriculture and the analysis of the agrarian economy.

It has developed new models of mechanization of the cultivation, harvesting, handling and storage  phases, for a better, faster and more secure yield of the crop. These techniques will soon be available to farmers who want to collaborate with Green Valley in the cultivation of cannabis, complying with high-quality standards.

  • Cultivation on selected fields without use of pesticides
  • Guidelines on Good Agricultural and Collection Practices (GACP)
  • Monitoring of contaminants according to specific European Pharmacopoeia

Proprietary Genetics

Enecta developed and registered 13 varieties at the Community Plant Variety Office –  Community Plant Variety Office (CPVO) and 2 varieties at the Colorado Hemp Seed Registry.

  • Administration of percentages of active ingredients with a calibrated dosage,  according to the pathology and the clinical condition of the patient
  • Optimization of the extractive process of the different phytocannabinoids

It’s legal, reclaims land and blocks stress: Enecta launches the “industrial” cannabis

Tuttogreen – La Stampa e Conoscenza

“The potential of the cannabis plant and of its components goes much further than what is known. For this reason, we have already invested 150 thousand of euros in agronomic and medical research and on the methods of cannabinoids analysis, in collaboration with Italian research institutes and universities” – said Jacopo Paolini, CEO of Enecta, on Tuttogreen, the monthly supplement dedicated to the environment and the agriculture of the La Stampa newspaper.

At the ‘Atelier of Health’,
medical and food cannabis
is being discussed

Napoli Today

Enecta took part at the Atelier della Salute, the event dedicated to the health and the prevention which was held at the Federico II Polyclinic University of Naples. The company, with Fracta Sativa, the association which promotes, defends and broadcasts the cultivation of hemp and its use in various fields, has organized an information hub on cannabis. Speaking to NapoliToday, Alberto Ritieni, who has coordinated the venture said “The Atelier della Salute is the best forum to raise awareness, in a simple but scientifically rigorous way, the therapeutic and nutraceutical potentialities that cannabis can offer to consumers and patients who suffer from some diseases”.

Jacopo, from Abruzzo, cultivates cannabis

Il Centro

“Today the hemp supply chain, thanks also to an important shift in the Italian regulatory framework that promotes the industrial cultivation of cannabis, has the possibility to become a propeller for the economy of the country by creating new economic opportunities and new professional figures and jobs” said Jacopo Paolini to Il Centro, a newspaper that has dedicated a detailed study to Green Valley. A detailed reportage on the Enecta farm based in Abruzzo, which also grows in Rovigo in collaboration with CreaCI, which is involved in bringing innovation into the agricultural field and in developing the industrial opportunities of cannabis for Italian economic growth.

The value of cannabis
“Little is known”

La Nuova Ferrara

“An opportunity of reflection to raise awareness on a shared culture about the value of cannabis” Nuova Ferrara has written an in-depth article on the day, supported by Enecta and Green Valley, about the medical and industrial use of cannabis. An event based in Codigoro which has rounded up a lively scientific community which talked about the sector’s perspective. Among the participants were Giovanni Appendino, professor of Pharmacy of Eastern Piedmont, Massimo Nabissi, associate professor of the Camerino University, Giampaolo Grassi, first researcher of Rovigo Crea-CI and professor Tullia Gallina Toschi of Bologna University.

Development and validation of a Fast gas chromatography/mass spectrometry method for the determination of cannabinoids in Cannabis sativa L

Journal of Food and Drug Analisys

Enecta has collaborated with the Department of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies of the University of Bologna in the study of the development and validation of a new method useful for a faster and more reliable determination of phytocannabinoids in Cannabis Sativa. This improvement in the quali-quantitative analysis is a fundamental step in the study of a plant with a complex matrix like cannabis, which has hundreds of fitocannabinoids (in addition to THC and CBD). The results of the study are published by the Journal of Food and Drug Analysis. The article is now available in the PubMed library.
